{"id":6241,"date":"2025-08-31T07:14:49","date_gmt":"2025-08-31T05:14:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sandrasinger.blog\/?p=6241"},"modified":"2025-08-31T07:29:32","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T05:29:32","slug":"emotions-are-our-signposts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sandrasinger.blog\/en\/emotions-are-our-signposts","title":{"rendered":"Emotions are Our Signposts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I have a dream,<br>that one day, emotions will be a core subject taught in schools.<br>A class called&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>My Emotions<\/strong><\/em><strong>.<br>How to recognize them.<br>What they\u2019re trying to tell me.<br>How to read them.<br>How to speak about them.<br>What they reveal to me.<br>How they can guide me.<br>How to manage them.<br>Such an important topic.<br>Such an important part of&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>me<\/strong><\/em><strong>, of&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>us<\/strong><\/em><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who am I?<br>Why do I feel this way?<br>Where is my balance?<br>How can I better understand myself?<br>How can I understand myself better,&nbsp;<br>so I can truly understand others?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Emotions<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>are<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>our life.<br>Emotions<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>are<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>our every day.<br>Emotions are a whole universe inside us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What would our world look like if we taught<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>every child<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>about emotions?<br>About what makes them angry.<br>What makes them sad.<br>What frightens them.<br>What makes them laugh.<br>What calms them.<br>About<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>themselves<\/strong><\/em><strong>.<br>About how they feel.<br>About<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>why<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>they feel that way.<br>About the fact that it\u2019s okay to feel exactly what they\u2019re feeling.<br>Without being silenced.<br>Without being scared into hiding.<br>Without being shouted at.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A different world.<br>With a different sense of self-worth.<br>With a different foundations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Even if they didn\u2019t learn it at home,<br>at least at school they would know that<br>there is harmony within our emotions.<br>That<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>all<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>of them are important and needed.<br>That every single emotion is a sign pointing&nbsp;<br>to something meaningful inside us.<br>And maybe then, these little people would come to know..<br>That who they are is<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>okay<\/strong><\/em><strong>.<br>That getting triggered is<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>normal<\/strong><\/em><strong>.<br>That we can learn to give emotions the space they deserve.<br>Simply by<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>allowing<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>them to exist.<br>Both &#8211;
