{"id":8239,"date":"2026-09-20T14:05:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T12:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sandrasinger.blog\/?p=8239"},"modified":"2026-09-20T14:07:59","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T12:07:59","slug":"the-people-who-are-no-longer-beside-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sandrasinger.blog\/en\/the-people-who-are-no-longer-beside-us","title":{"rendered":"The People Who Are No Longer Beside Us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>They are important.<\/strong><br><strong>They were an important part of our lives.<\/strong><br><strong>They were an important part of us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Because of them \u2014 today I am who I am.<\/strong><br><strong>Because of them \u2014 today I am where I am.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>They were a road.<\/strong><br><strong>A stop along the way.<\/strong><br><strong>A lesson.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lightness and laughter.<\/strong><br><strong>Difficulty and sadness.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>They are important.<\/strong><br><strong>They were an important part of our lives.<\/strong><br><strong>They were an important part of us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It\u2019s worth separating these things within ourselves.<\/strong><br><strong>Putting them in their place.<\/strong><br><strong>Saying goodbye with the dignity and respect they deserve.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Not brushing them aside as we step into new loyalties.<\/strong><br><strong>Honoring them.<\/strong><br><strong>Bowing in gratitude.<\/strong><br><strong>Thanking them.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Taking what helped build me.<\/strong><br><strong>Taking what showed me something.<\/strong><br><strong>Taking what gave me ground to grow from.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The people who are no longer around us<\/strong><br><strong>are a resource we carry within us.<\/strong><br><strong>They are some of our most important lessons.<\/strong><br><strong>They are a blessing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>At the end of the journey of forgiving ourselves and others \u2014<\/strong><br><strong>they are one of our greatest blessings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s not my fault\u201d<\/strong><br><strong>We often carry too much on our shoulders.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s not my fault\u201d<\/strong><br><strong>Often, we weren\u2019t the only ones making the decisions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s not my fault\u201d<\/strong><br><strong>To let go of the guilt we carry\u2026 for life.<\/strong><br><strong>And for those\u2026 who are no longer with us.<br><br><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"They are important.They were an important part of our lives.They were an important part of us.
