Different. Colorful. Other.

Each of us plays a different kind of music.
We like it when someone is similar to us.
Right away, we tend to like them more.
We like it when we are similar to someone.
Because it means we’re not alone.
That somewhere, with someone, we belong.

And as long as we respect 
the differences of others, it’s all fine.
But do we really know how to respect 
others’ differences without mocking them? 
Without judging?
Without putting ourselves above them?

We don’t have to choose like others.
We don’t have to look like others.
We don’t have to be like others.

But just as we expect respect ourselves,
let’s also give it to others.
For the simple fact that people are 
Different and Colorful,
and truly Unique.

Only together can we play 
the music of the great Philharmonic of Life.
Isn’t that what adds flavor to our cultures, 
languages, and traditions?
Isn’t that what we search for 
in our travels, 
our explorations, 
and our experiences?
Otherness.
Diversity.


If we were all the same, 
wouldn’t the world turn out to be a little boring 
and unchallenging place?
Without Difference, there would be no Growth.
