When do we get most irritated with someone?
– when they do something to us
– when they say something to us
– when they say something about us
– when they don’t understand us
Where do we feel the need for connection with another person?
In being understood.
In being agreed with.
In being embraced.
In being treated with respect.
We want someone to:
– speak to us kindly
– speak kindly about us
– speak kindly about the things we’ve done
… 🙂
Why do we get upset with others?
Because we don’t want to
– and don’t have time to –
understand ourselves,
agree with ourselves,
embrace ourselves,
love ourselves.
We demand things from others
that are impossible for them to give.
We demand, we get frustrated,
and lose our energy
in an endless loop of misunderstanding.
We run in circles, flailing around
and pointing fingers
at everything and everyone.
Guilty!
Of our mood.
Guilty!
Of our happiness.
Guilty!
Of our life.
And all it would take is to stop.
All the things I’m missing
can be given to me
by one person on Earth – ME.
A shift in perspective
on how I see myself
and my needs will begin.
And life itself will start to shift
when I finally give myself
WHAT I’VE BEEN MISSING.
Attention, time, and kindness.
From me – to me.
See – Stop – Change
Emotions.
Such a big topic.
Learn to manage yourself.
