Why did you act like that?

Seriously?
You?

Yes, me.

Sometimes I still don’t know how to do it differently.
Sometimes I’m just tired.
Sometimes I’m the one who doesn’t notice something.

That’s why there are so many of us —
to offer each other a hand.

Not to ridicule.
Not to mock.
Not to kick someone when they’re already down.

We laugh off our “imperfections.”
Or dress them up in masks of strength.
When really, it’s just:
“I’m still not quite there yet.”

But I’m learning through practice.
In everyday life.
In my relationships.

In the forest, I’ll find silence and peace.
In everyday life, I’ll find
my practice and my growth.

Where?
In everyday life.
In that guy who pisses you off.
In that mother who drives you crazy.
In that idiot and that crazy woman.

They’re all our teachers.
Just as we are theirs.

“Aaaaa, I see you!”
So this is supposed to be about me?

Hmmm… I’ll take something from this one
and something from that one.

“Aaaaa, so that’s what this is about.”

And life, although it keeps surprising me,
somehow tastes a little better this way. 😉

Sometimes It Just Can’t Be Done.

Sometimes you have to let go. Sometimes something is simply beyond our control. We want it so badly. We tense up…
