Life is a Journey

We all start from different places.
We all have different opportunities.
But today, we also have access.
To all these different lifestyles.
To information.
We can observe, learn, and choose.
I’ve always wondered
what is it about me that’s so special?
That despite the struggles,
I keep moving forward.
Despite the challenges,
I actually really love my life.
I’ve always had the courage to dream.
To visualize the life I want.
My two favorite quotes in this area are:
“Fake it until it becomes part of your life,”
and
“Maybe your fear is bigger than your dream.”
I no longer remember who said them,
But both speak on a much deeper level.
That it’s about BECOMING, not HAVING.
What you have can change.
But why is it that some people,
even when they lose everything,
can start over or build something completely new?
Because they are that.
That’s their frequency.
They vibrate with this strong belief
that they’ll always find a way.
Such a powerful belief…
There’s immense strength in our subconscious beliefs.
Fear, on the other hand, takes so much from us.
When it’s tied to a strong belief like
“I always end up in hole,”
“Things never work out for me,”
“I’m just always unlucky,”
it becomes the driving force
that brings that hole into our path,
leaves us stuck in a ditch,
or keeps us from even leaving the house.

Our Journey will never be perfect.
Sometimes it’s bumpy.
Sometimes, yes, we do hit that hole.
But so what?
We keep going.
Because there’s somewhere we want to arrive on our map.

We are the ones who define our reach and potential.

We are the ones who create the maps of our dreams.
And that’s something I’ve always been brilliant at.
When I dream, I dream fully.
I visualize it with every fiber of my being.
I visualize it with my whole heart.
A hundred years ago (okay, not quite),
I took a weekend course in international trade,
funded by the EU.
One of the sessions was on motivation.
The instructor asked us:
“If there were no limits, no boundaries,
what kind of life would you want in 5 years?”
Wow, I thought.
And I started writing.
I let my mind go free
and turned on my heart.
After 20 minutes, people started reading their visions,
whoever wanted to, proud of their desires.
I heard about a raise of 300 euro,
a higher positions, a nicer car…
And then it was my turn.
I paused.
Should I really read what came out of me?
At the time, my mom was dying.
My life was completely falling apart.
But that one question cracked my heart wide open.
I filled four pages A4 describing my dream life.
I wrote about my mornings.
Waking up with my husband, drinking coffee, his arms around me, his kiss.
Our children laughing, jumping on our bed.
Me making breakfast. All of us getting ready together.
I described the atmosphere,
warmth, the ease, the freedom in the air.
I wrote about having my own business, my office close to home so I wouldn’t waste time in traffic.
I wrote about the joy and satisfaction I feel in the work I do and about being proud of what I earn, even the amount felt “too big” to say out loud.
I wrote about living a life
that I’d be in love with.
Every single day.
Even now, writing this, I feel tears coming…
Because, as I mentioned,
I was in a really dark place back then.
But here’s the thing:
Today, even when life shakes and wobbles,
I’m in love with my life.
Every. Single. Day.

The conclusion is this:
We are the ones who draw the map of our lives.
We are the ones who create our reach and our possibilities.

Even if only half comes true.
Blow the fear away.
That heavy rationalism that tells you
to stay small and gray until you die.
Life is a road – it’ll shake anyway.
Life is life – things will fall apart.
You will fall apart, more than once.
But! If even half of it came true,
Wouldn’t be jumping for joy?
If just 1/10 of your wild, limitless dreams actually happened,
wouldn’t you be grateful to the universe?
You can start right at home.
Go to sleep with that plan in your heart:

“Show me, Life, How I can make this real.”

And then go.
Open the windows.
Invite the winds of change.
Awaken your curiosity.
Smile at yourself.
And enjoy the ride. 🌬️🙂
