The fact that I keep moving forward in my growth
doesn’t mean
that I’m a saint.
The fact that people have different gifts
and can help us doesn’t mean that they are saints
or that they are wiser than you or me about everything.
They’re still human.
With their own challenges.
With their own emotions.
With their own story.
My growth requires me
to keep working on myself.
When?
In my everyday life.
It requires my awareness
so I don’t get carried away by my emotions.
It requires my inner resources
to listen first before I speak.
It requires my willingness
not to respond to emotion with emotion.
I’m doing pretty well,
but… am I like this all the time?
Well… no.
I’m trying.
I’m proud of myself, day by day.
But… 🙂
Things happen with me too.
Sometimes I say a little too much.
Sometimes I still respond to emotion with emotion.
Because I’m learning.
Because I’m on my way.
And that is enough.
Because every day,
I still choose to work on myself.
And then there’s life.
Which loves to test me. 🙂
“Have you learned how to stop yet?”
“Can I see it yet?”
“Can I change something yet?”
If someone behaves in a way they shouldn’t,
maybe it’s because they don’t yet know how to do it differently.
Then there’s another question:
Do they even want to do it differently?
The point is—yes to growth.
But with room to breathe.
With kindness toward myself.
With a smile and a little more ease,
knowing that I have already chosen to keep learning this.
Every day, within myself:
See – Stop – Change
That is enough.
And beautiful results will come.
Be proud of yourself today.
You already have every reason to be.
And take a moment to thank yourself.
