I’ve always painted these symbols wherever I go.
A Heart, the Sun, and a Smile.
Like my own guiding stars,
they remind me how I want to walk through my life.
People can inspire us.
Most beautifully – by living their own truth.
But no one can tell us
what’s best for us.
Those kinds of miracles reveal themselves only when we learn to truly listen to ourselves.
Because each of us has just one Heart.
And it’s meant only for us – and us alone.
The Sun gives us warmth and light.
But too much of it can also burn.
We need the rain, the clouds, and the shade too.
There’s a reason we carry all of it within us.
We can light the way.
We can burn a bridge.
I get to choose who I want to be
– every single day, anew.
Authentically.
With kindness.
My light begins with me
only then I can shine for others.
A Smile is that one little thing
that makes a difference from the very start of the day.
It forgives.
It softens.
It heals.
It changes everything.
It can make another smile appear.
And it does all this
even without saying a single word.
