Why Doesn’t Anything Change?

You can have talent.
And that’s beautiful.
You can have money.
And that’s convenient.
But with our Own Inner Work
we can get anywhere.
Only…
we often don’t feel like it.
We want it all.
And we want it now.
But there’s always a personal cost
to have it.
Inner work – on ourselves,
on how we think,
on how we act –
comes at a cost.
What do those who have it really have?
Different habits.
Different thinking.
A different perspective.
You want that too?
Wake up early.
Learn to meditate.
Start moving your body.
There are many paths.
But what they all have in common
is self-discipline.
There are many books about it.
Yes – it works.
But why not on me
Because theory remains theory
until you get up.
Until it becomes
your experience.
And what will work for me
I don’t know.
Through trial and error,
you’ll find out.
But you have to get up.
Take a step.
Start learning self-discipline.
So that one day you can follow
your own plan.
And yet we wave it off.
Starting tomorrow.
Starting Monday.
Starting… never, really.
Something has to click inside you.
It’s a choice.
And even along the way – many choices.
Repetitions.
Failures.
Missteps.
Even sometimes going back to the start.
But each time,
one thing changes..
the most important thing:
Your experience.
You now know something more.
About yourself.
You breathe.
You take in air.
You give yourself time.
And you go on.
You try again.
And you lose nothing.
Because each time,
you gain
your own experience.
And only through that
will you be able to go further
in the direction
you’ve always known
you wanted to grow in.
When we start
we wan the summit right away.
But all of this
is really made of small steps.
Big choices
within ourselves.
The comfort of not doing the inner work grins at us.
The comfort of staying
a little longer
in what we already know.
It’s very comfortable.
Otherwise,
we would’ve chosen ourselves
a long time ago.
That’s what’s truly hard –
to step out of the loop
and believe it’s already within me.
Just around the corner –
from your own effort,
from your own growth.

Guidance.

My walking on Earth sometimes hurts. My walking on Earth is sometimes wild and full of life. My…
